2020 RFA Nonpoint Source Management Grants Under Clean Water Act Section 319

This Request for Applications (RFA) is issued pursuant to section 319(h) of the CWA, which authorizes the EPA to award grants to eligible tribes and intertribal consortia to implement approved NPS management programs developed pursuant to section 319(b). The primary goal of a NPS management program is to control NPS pollution through implementation of management measures and practices. These management activities should be directed at preventing or reducing polluted runoff from subcategories of NPSs identified in the tribe’s NPS assessment report developed pursuant to section 319(a).

Funding Amount: 
Up to $100,000
Matching Funds: 
A tribe or intertribal consortium must: (1) be federally recognized; (2) have an EPA-approved NPS assessment report in accordance with CWA section 319(b); and (4) have "Treatment-in-a-manner-similar-to-a-State" (TAS) status in accordance with CWA section 518 (e). To be eligible for CWA section 319 grants under this RFA, tribes or intertribal consortium must have met these requirements as of October 11, 2019.
