Columbia River sees near-record shad run; steelhead numbers are down

Fish managers couldn't believe their eyes when they scanned the fish count numbers from Bonneville Dam this morning. Steelhead fish in Santiam and Willamette rivers in northwestern Oregon have hit low levels not seen in over 40 years, fisheries managers said.
