Drivers of changing wildfire regimes and consequences for wildfire risk factors
The interagency Joint Fire Science Program's FY2027 Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) has approximately $9 million to support research and science delivery that addresses emerging and long-term wildland fire management challenges through the several funding opportunities including the Drivers of changing wildfire regimes and consequences for wildfire risk factors. The objective of this task statement is to increase understanding of the drivers and consequences of changing wildfire regimes to inform future management and monitoring plans that accelerate adaptation to these altered regimes that reduce wild land fire risk factors.
