Puget Sound Climate Preparedness Collaborative Internships. Applications Due: July 7, 2026 at 11:59 pm. The Puget Sound Climate Preparedness Collaborative, housed at King County, is hiring a Tribal Partnerships Intern AND a Climate & Communities Intern. The two opportunities provide a unique opportunity to work with climate adaptation practitioners and community leaders across the Puget Sound region on building local and regional capacity for climate preparedness. Both positions are hybrid, with options for time in office as well as telecommuting. Both positions are part-time during the school year with flexibility around classes, and full time in summer (if eligible to stay in the position through December 2027). 

  • The Tribal Partnerships Intern will support the development and implementation of a new Tribal Partnership Learning Series (TPLS) hosted by the Puget Sound Climate Preparedness Collaborative. The internships are open to students who will be enrolled for the 2026-2027 school year. It will also provide the opportunity to assist and advise on Tribal engagement and inclusion across other Collaborative programming, including regional alignment workshops and convenings focused on climate resilience topics. This position is open to undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in environmental studies, Indigenous studies, public policy, or a related field.

Northwest Climate Adaptation Science Center Faculty Fellowship Program. Applications Due: July 15, 2026. The Northwest Climate Adaptation Science Center is now accepting applications for our 2027 Faculty Fellowship Program. The NW CASC Faculty Fellowship Program supports research related to climate adaptation in Northwest natural and cultural resource management as well as training in the principles and practices of co-producing decision-relevant (i.e., “actionable”) science. The NW CASC Faculty Fellows Program is a last-mile program that funds activities aimed at enhancing the usability of existing research for natural resource managers. Pacific Crest Trail Association Senior Advocacy Manager. Application Due: July 20, 2026. The Pacific Crest Trail Association (PCTA) is looking for someone to advocate at every level of government to secure strong policies and funding for the PCT and access to the outdoors. The Senior Advocacy Manager is a full-time position and will lead PCTA’s legislative and grassroots advocacy efforts to advance policies that protect the Pacific Crest Trail, national trails, public lands, and recreational access.  This position will engage and mobilize the public through compelling communications, outreach, and advocacy related efforts to build broad coalitions; and by creating action opportunities for communities around conservation and outdoor recreation issues that matter to them. To accomplish this, the Senior Advocacy Manager will collaborate with PCTA staff across program areas to ensure alignment with priorities and strategies. Indigenous Resilience Center. The Indigenous Resilience Center is excited to announce an opportunity to contribute to a 5-year project graciously funded by Waverley Street Foundation in collaboration with Karletta Chief and Michael Kotutwa Johnson, PhD, MPP from the University of Arizona Indigenous Resilience Center.
