Tribal Climate Change Guide

The Tribal Climate Change Guide is part of the Pacific Northwest Tribal Climate Change Project (TCCP). The TCCP is part of the L.I.G.H.T. Foundation (LF), is an independent, Indigenous-led, conservation 501(c)(3) nonprofit established on the Colville Indian Reservation in the traditional territory of the Nespelem Tribe in present-day north central Washington State. LF supports the restoration and cultivation of native Plant and Pollinator Relatives and the culturally respectful conservation of habitats and ecosystems which are climate resilient and adaptive. Join the 2017 ASAP Prize for Progress Finalists for a webinar series to discuss innovation & excellence in Natural Systems Adaptation!
The ASAP Prize for Progress improves professional practice in adapting to climate change by recognizing achievement and promoting the uptake of innovative and deliberate adaptation practice. Presenters will look at the challenges faced and solutions found by these organizations in their goal of making their communities more sustainable.
All four 2017 Prize for Progress Finalists worked to adapt natural systems and increase resilience of natural infrastructure. We look forward to sharing the promising practices from these models, which will provide guidance and encouragement for other communities.
